How much does a custom watch cost?

From €349, with free shipping worldwide. Text on the dial, the Modus logo engraved on the caseback, the date magnifier and the sapphire caseback (on models that offer it) are included. Paid options: your logo on the dial +€29, caseback engraving +€19, side engraving +€19, caseback and side engraving together +€29, your logo engraved on the caseback +€25, GMT hand +€40, extra strap +€39, priority production +€20, gift wrapping and message card +€10.

How long does delivery take?

Your watch is put together to order and delivered within 9 days in mainland France and 9–11 days elsewhere, free home delivery included. Outside the European Union, customs duties or local taxes may be charged on delivery.

What can I customise?

The case, dial, bezel, hands and strap, then text or a logo on the dial, an engraving on the caseback or the side of the case and, depending on the model, a sapphire caseback to show off the movement.

Can I put a name or a logo on the dial?

Yes. Text fits on two lines of 20 characters, in ten lettering styles, at no extra cost. A logo (PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG) costs +€29; the dial takes either text or a logo, not both.

Which movement powers the watch?

It depends on the model. Seiko NH35 automatic on most models, Seiko NH34 automatic with the GMT option, Seiko NH38 automatic on some PRISM dials, Seiko VK63 (meca-quartz chronograph, battery-powered) on INTERVAL and the ORBIT chronographs. The one exception: PRESTIGE, with day and date windows, uses a Miyota 8285 automatic. The exact calibre shows in the configurator. This kind of watch is often called a “seiko mod”: Modus Horlogerie designs it around these calibres.

What warranty do I get?

A 3-year warranty against any manufacturing defect: movement, case and water resistance, under normal use. After-sales service is handled in France.

Can I see the watch before ordering?

Yes. Every choice shows live on the preview, front and back, engraving included. You can save your build and share it with a link before ordering.

Can I return a custom watch?

Yes. Like every Modus watch, it comes with 30 days to return it from delivery.

Is it a real Seiko watch?

No. The movement is a genuine Seiko (except on PRESTIGE, which uses a Miyota), but the watch is designed and sold by Modus Horlogerie, an independent brand not affiliated with Seiko.

Is the watch water resistant?

Yes, to 5 ATM, like every Modus watch: rain, splashes and hand washing are fine. It is not a dive watch: take it off to swim or shower.

Can I have the watch engraved?

Yes. Caseback engraving +€19 (a date, initials, a message), side engraving +€19 (both together: €29), or your logo engraved on the caseback +€25. Text on the dial (name, initials, date) stays included in the price. The preview shows the engraving before you order.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, to every country, free and with no minimum order. A custom watch arrives within 9 days in mainland France and 9–11 days elsewhere, delivered to your door with tracking. Outside the European Union, customs duties or local taxes may be charged on delivery. For the United States, order on modus-horlogerie.com: prices in dollars, duties and taxes included.

How do I give it as a gift?

Add gift wrapping and a card with your message (+€10), plus an engraving if you want to mark a date. Not sure of their taste? Give the gift card instead: they receive it by email and design the watch themselves. Either way, there are 30 days to return it.
